# Most US patients starting fostemsavir remained on it at 12 months in a 77-person cohort

Trio Health HIV Research Network data covering 77 adults prescribed fostemsavir in routine US practice between July 2020 and August 2023 were followed for 12 months, stratified by baseline viral suppression. Most remained on the drug at 12 months, and adherence was high in the subset with dispensing records; among viraemic initiators a minority reached suppression, while most suppressed initiators maintained it. CD4 counts rose in both subgroups and background regimen changes were infrequent.

*Why it is interesting: A real-world persistence reading for a salvage HIV agent, though the cohort is small and adherence is not given as a number.*
