The authors reconstructed individual patient data from the published Kaplan-Meier curves of the RASolute 302 trial and ran a three-state partitioned survival model comparing daraxonrasib with investigator's-choice chemotherapy in previously treated metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma. In the RAS G12 population the drug added 0.652 life-years and 0.506 QALYs at an incremental cost of $253,171, giving $500,637 per QALY, and none of 5,000 simulations fell below $200,000 per QALY. Prices of $14,060 and $17,730 per 30 days would meet thresholds of $150,000 and $200,000 per QALY respectively.
Why it is interesting: Sets the US launch price of a new pancreatic cancer drug against conventional cost-effectiveness thresholds of $150,000 to $200,000 per QALY, from reconstructed rather than original trial data.
