Among 300,875 UK Biobank participants followed a median 12.3 years, 3,088 developed kidney stones, and those scoring favourably on seven lifestyle items had a hazard ratio of 0.51 (0.44 to 0.59) against the unfavourable group.

In 148 adults on antidepressants with residual symptoms, nine weeks of a CBT-based smartphone game with optional internet CBT improved depressive symptoms (d = 0.74) and medication adherence (d = 0.46) against a waitlist, though 40.8% of the intervention arm dropped out against 18.1% of controls.

Illicit cigarettes rose from 8.5% to 20.4% of packs in eight Mexican cities by 2023
A follow-up collection of 12,607 discarded cigarette packs in 11 Mexican cities put the illicit share at 18.2% in 2023, and in the eight cities surveyed in both years it rose from 8.5% in 2017 to 20.4%, with city-level estimates ranging from under 1% to 43.4%.
